One of my metal point drawings will be included in an upcoming publication, Silverpoint and Metalpoint Drawing: A Complete Guide to the Medium. The book will be published by Routlledge/Taylor & Francis in early 2019 and distributed internationally in both hard and soft copy versions. Especially noteworthy is that the book is co-authored by Susan Schwalb and Tom Mazzullo. Ms. Schwalb is recognized as one of the most influential metal point artist in the 21st century and was recently included in a group drawing exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.Read More

One of my colored pencil drawings, "Homage to Leonardo" was chosen for this international exhibition. The juror was Joanne Moser the former Senior Curator of Collections at the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
One of my metal point drawings "Sheeler with Jar and Rocks" was included in the the prestigious Williams Prize in Drawing Exhibition. Nearly 400 drawings were reviewed with only 35 being selected.
In addition to the drawing exhibition, poets were invited to write a poem inspired by the drawings in the exhibition. A wonderful poem by Lauren Amalia Redding was written in response to my drawing:
One of my large scale metal point drawings entitled “Claire’s Paper Airplane” was recently included in an Invitational Exhibition: Lustrous Lines: Contemporary Metal Point Drawings. Over forty artists from throughout the U.S. the U.K. and Australia were included in this prestigious drawing exhibition.
The Past is Present: Metalpoint Drawings in the 21st Century
My solo exhibit at the Miami University Art Museum was a great success. Over thirty preparatory and finished metal point drawings were on display. The curatorial staff included several of my actual still life setups as an installation component to the exhibit.
I was invited as a guest artist as part of the museum’s Contemporary Artist Forum series and visited the Miami University campus for three days. I met with studio art majors for critiques and discussions on marketing. I also presented a public lecture about my work: Echoes from the Past, An Ongoing Dialogue with Art History.
Photos from the exhibit are posted below:
